Google Play goes UK, Germany and France

Google has said that starting November 13, Google Play music and movies will now be available on Google TV in the UK, Germany and France. It is expected that Google will add additional countries to its list by end of December. However, securing licences for television shows and movies has been an on-going headache for the company. 

Google Play will be available on all Google TV sets on the newly opened markets. However, there are not that many Google TV enabled devises around. In the UK there is the Sony Internet Media Player, in France and Germany Sony launched the product last September. A Google TV equipped Blu-ray player from Sony will come to these markets early next year.
