ESPN STAR Sports expands coverage in Singapore

ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has secured expanded coverage for its various multi-platform networks in Singapore, thus increasing its presence and ensuring a higher reach of its line-up of premium sports content and programmes amongst sports fans in the market, espnstar.com reports.

ESS announced that it has successfully secured a new carriage arrangement with StarHub on a non-exclusive basis for its various services including sports channels ESPN, STAR Sports, ESPN HD, ESPNEWS, STAR Cricket and STAR Cricket HD along with broadband and mobile services via ESPN Player and Mobile ESPN respectively.

StarHub will begin the transmission of ESS television networks and ESPN Player from December 14th and will launch the Mobile ESPN service later this month.

Along with this new arrangement, ESS has also renewed its carriage arrangement with SingTel on a non-exclusive basis through a deal for all its services across television, broadband and mobile platforms.

Peter Hutton, Managing Director of ESPN STAR Sports, said, “We’re very happy to be reaching the widest possible pay-tv audience in Singapore by new agreements with both major platforms. We now offer increased visibility to our advertising clients and to the sports organisations with whom we work on a secure long term basis.”
