CCTV New Year Gala

2013 CCTV New Year Gala is scheduled to run in the National Stadium on December 31, cmmintelligence.com reports.

The big-scale TV show will be broadcast live via CCTV-1, CCTV-3, CCTV-4 and CCTV foreign-language channels simultaneously to audiences all over the world.

A number of Sino-Foreign celebrities are expected to perform, like Spanish tenor José Carreras, The Angels in Harlem Gospel Choir, Chinese “Three Tenors” as well as renowned pianist Lang Lang.

Meanwhile, CCTV’s production team of the 2013 Spring Festival Gala organized its press conference recently and released the latest information on CCTV’s annual variety show held on the eve of Lunar New Year.

Under the theme “Xin Chun Zhong Guo”, the festival feast will feature four segments, including “Xin Chun”, “Xin Xi”, “Xin Yi” as well as “Xin Pian”.

Ha Wen, Chief Director of the big-scale TV show, disclosed that the number of language-category programs is expected to be increased to nine.
