Malaysia’s Astro B.yond adds Wi-Fi connectivity

Malaysian media entertainment group Astro Holdings announced that its customers can now access and download video-on-demand (VOD) programmes anytime on its B.yond personal video recorder (PVR) with a new Wi-Fi dongle.

According to Astro the dongle will add Wi-Fi Internet access to the Astro B.yond PVR.

“It will give easy access to the wide range of movie titles in the Astro B.yond VOD library, including Astro First and Astro Best movies,” it said in a statement.

Astro said it will offer a free trial of the Astro B.yond VOD catch-up service for all connected B.yond PVRs until 31 January.
