CCTV announces new programs & co-operative ventures

China Central TV (CCTV) and Hunan Satellite TV jointly held a press conference to promote TV drama series Zanmen Jiehun Ba which is to be simultaneously broadcast in the prime timeslot on CCTV-1 and Hunan Satellite TV this year.

According to cmmintelligence.com, the broadcasters have agreed to additional collaboration in the future, citing initiatives such as TV drama acquisition, promotions and talent exchange.

CCTV also announced the debut of its newest and interactive variety show. The CCTV-3 produced program is called Kai Men Da Ji and is slated to start this January.

The program will combine multiple TV show genres, such as game shows, music shows and imitation shows and involve audience participation on multiple platforms in real time.
