CNN launches new primetime evening news show live from Hong Kong
CNN is further expanding its live programming from Asia with the launch of a new primetime evening news show, ‘CNN NewsCenter’, to be launched on Monday January 21st at 7:30pm HKT.
The show is the latest addition to CNN’s Hong Kong programming expansion, following the recent debut of ‘CNN Newsroom, Live from Hong Kong’, a two hour morning news show, as well as the launch of the monthly ‘On China’.
The new show is anchored by Monita Rajpal, a journalist with more than two decades of experience in broadcast news. Hong-Kong born Rajpal has been with CNN for more than a decade, during which time she has anchored multiple primetime news shows, interviewed some of the biggest names globally in politics, business, arts and fashion, and reported from locations across the globe, including Asia, Europe and Latin America.
Prior to returning to Hong Kong in November 2012, Rajpal was based in London where she was the co-host of CNN’s ‘World One’.
