ITU & NBTC team up to develop a roadmap for Digital Radio roll out in Thailand

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), Thailand, are jointly organizing a Workshop on Digital Radio Technologies, to enhance knowledge and promote digital terrestrial radio broadcasting in the country.

The workshop – to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 1-3 March 2013 – is organized under the NBTC/ITU cooperation framework on “Roadmap Development for Digital Terrestrial Radio Broadcasting Roll Out in Thailand.” It is supported by WorldDMB, MCOT Public Co., LTd., the Government Public Relations Department, and the Royal Thai Army Radio and Television Station.

Technology demonstrations will be conducted in association with the Workshop and these will include field tests, designed for participants to get a clear understanding of the technology and how it operates.

Participants are asked to note that the workshop sessions will be held on Friday, 1st March and Sunday, 3rd March at the workshop venue. The demonstration and field tests sessions will be conducted at MCOT on Saturday, 2nd March 2013.

There is no registration fee for this Workshop. However, due to limited number of seats, registrations will be accepted on first-come-first-serve basis. No ITU fellowships are applicable for the Workshop.
