Singapore sets up new IPTV service

StarHub TV on Fibre is a brand-new IPTV service launching into the Singapore market on March 18, worldscreen.com reports.

Initially available to commercial customers only, StarHub TV on Fibre will be delivered over Singapore’s NextGen Nationwide Broadband Network (NGNBN). Commercial customers will have access to viewing options that are currently not available to DTTV customers, including Cartoon Network, DIVA Universal, HISTORY, National Geographic Channel HD and Travel Channel HD.

“While DTTV has served our commercial customers well, we have capitalized on the NGNBN rollout to provide an even better service to this segment of customers. StarHub TV on Fibre marks an important milestone in our pay TV business,” said Lin Shu Fen, StarHub’s VP of home solutions.
