TRT elected to European Association of Public Service Media Presidency

TRT Director General Mr. İbrahim ŞAHİN has been elected as President of the European Association of Public Service Media in South East Europe.

Founded in 2010, the European Association of Public Service Media in South East Europe    has 13 members: BHRT (Bosnia Herzegovina), BNT (Bulgaria), BNR (Bulgaria), HRT (Croatia), MKRTV (Macedonia), ROR (Romania), RTCG (Montenegro), RTK (Kosovo), RTS (Serbia), RTSH (Albania), RTV (Vojvodina), RTVSLO (Slovenia) and TRT (Turkey).

The Association aims to strengthen regional cooperation and assistance as well as preserve the audiovisual heritage in the region.

At the meeting on 8 March 2013 in Slovenian capital Ljubljana, Members of the Association highlighted the importance of cooperation and co-productions between public broadcasters, and elected TRT Director General Mr. İbrahim Şahin as President of the Association.
