JCC launches new lifestyle entertainment media platform

Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC) has launched a new lifestyle entertainment media platform called JeemTV, with JCC Deputy GM Saad Al Hudaifi at its helm as acting Director.

Kidscreen reports that under JCC’s new organizational structure, JeemTV will serve as a media platform for Arab children ages seven to 12. It will accompany the channel’s other entities that include preschool channel Baraem TV, VOD educational portal Taalam.tv, and Siwar, the JCC children’s choir that provides the opportunity for tweens and teens to express themselves through singing.

The new JeemTV programming blocks will cater to kids during peak hours and will encompass family programming in the evenings. Internal productions include Anbar Show (pictured), Shashatech, which will focus on technology, media, and entertainment, and Noun, which is aimed at young girls. JeemTV has acquired new shows such as BBC’s Andy’s Wild Adventures, as well as Disney’s The Emperor’s New School, Zeke and Luther and Kim Possible.

The channel has been designed to meet the needs of modern Arab kids, and as such, the visual identity of the channel includes a new website – www.jeemtv.net that will incorporate on the go live streaming, video clips, full episodes of shows and games.
