New globally televised concert to raise funds for female empowerment

The Sound of Change Live is a global concert event presented by Chime for Change, a campaign recently launched by Gucci to support girls’ and women’s empowerment, which will be broadcast live around the world on June 1.

Taking place at London’s Twickenham Stadium, the concert will be headlined by Beyoncé, who is the artistic director and co-founder of Chime for Change and who will be performing along with a host of other musical artists and presenters. World Screen reports that the broadcast event will also feature inspirational and provocative short films and stories that shine a light on girls’ and women’s issues globally.

Gucci’s Robert Triefus discussed the new Chime for Change campaign at MIPTV last week and veteran producer Kevin Wall, who orchestrated the Live Earth and Live Aid events, was also on hand to promote the televised concert event.
