2013 Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award under way

The International Academy of Arts and Sciences is calling for entries in its annual Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award.

The Award is designed to motivate novice writers under the age of 30 outside of the United States and offer them the recognition and encouragement that might lead to a successful career in television scriptwriting.

The winning scriptwriter will be flown to New York City to accept a $2,500 cash prize at the International Emmy World Television Festival on November 23. The winning script will be read by actors in front of an audience at the festival. The winner will also be invited to take part in the red-carpet festivities at the 41st International Emmy Awards on November 25.

Guidelines and rules for the competition are available here. The deadline for submissions is July 1.
