ONE TV launches local Cambodian channels

Cambodian DVB-T pay operator One TV, has launched new channel packages offerring more Asian channels, content-technology.com reports.

Intending to build its business as a national operator, One TV says it is catering to the content-preferences of the Cambodian population who prefer local content in the Khmer language.

One TV also offers a number of Vietnamese, Korean and Thai TV channels, providing its viewers with more than 60 existing local and international channels.

To date, the One TV broadcasting network covers Phnom Penh as well as eight other Cambodian provinces including Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Svay Rieng, and Sihanoukville.

The first national Pay TV Digital Terrestrial platform in Cambodia was launched in July 2012 by a joint project of Russian General Satellite Corporation and Cambodian Royal Group of Companies.
