Da Vinci Learning expands Asian reach

Da Vinci Learning, an educational channel for children aged six to 12, has signed new carriage deals in Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar, worldscreen.com reports.

Since February 2013, the service has been carried on Thailand’s CTH. As of next month it will be available to subscribers of Myanmar’s Forever Group. In July, the channel will join the lineup of ABNxcess in Malaysia. The channel also has a licensing deal with True Corporation’s Plook Panya channel in Thailand for a number of shows from its library.

“We believe our 11 million subscribers in CEE and CIS countries are a good proof that Da Vinci Learning TV channel is a trusted brand for children and parents alike, and I am sure Asian subscribers will recognize it as such,” said Ferdinand Habsburg, the managing director of Da Vinci Learning.
