New Director General for Radio Pakistan

Mrs Samina Pervaiz Director-General, External Publicity Wing of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been appointed as Director-General Radio Pakistan (PBC).

In a meeting with PBC section heads Mrs Pervez praised the broadcaster’s staff saying they have vast experience and are fully aware of their responsibilities. She said that the responsibilities of Radio Pakistan in connection with the country and society are very delicate and sensitive in nature and therefore Radio Pakistan should work hard to bring forward the real facts to the public.

The new Director-General also underlined the need to formulate an effective training system inside the country and abroad for news persons and producers to boost their professional skills and re-activated the Research Cell to innovate PBC’s programs.

Mrs Pervaiz will continue to perform the duties of Director-General External Publicity Wing of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in addition to her DG of PBC role.
