Bollywood blockbuster bolsters Fiji’s economy

Fiji’s economy is set to benefit from a USD 4.5 million Bollywood production ‘Santa Banta’, which is to be shot in Fiji.

The Pacific Media Centre reports Executive Director of the movie, Padmakumar Nair said 80 percent of the movie will be shot in Fiji. The shooting is expected to start this week in Suva.

The movie is called ‘Santa Banta’, and is described as a comedy thriller. It will be directed and produced by Akashdeep Sabir and include well-known Bollywood stars Boman Irani, Neha Dhupia, model-turned-actress Lisa Hayden, Ram Kapoor and comedian Johnny Lever.
