Kazakhstan launches its first sports channel

Kazakhstan’s first sport channel Kazsport will start broadcasting on July 1, 2013.

The new channel will bring sport events, championships and cups of Kazakhstan, international tournaments and games, live interviews with sportsmen and organisers of sport events, original standups and programmes about famous sportsmen.

Pilot broadcasting of the TV channel will start on June 15.

Kazsport will broadcast in two languages (Russian and Kazakh) initially for 20-hours per day. It will be available on cable and via satellite networks in the country, including Kazakhstan’s Otau TV satellite network.
