ABU announces themes for this year’s technology webinars

Organised by ABU Technology, the 2013 Festival will run from 12 August to 13 September offering a series of free online webinars to anyone interested in broadcast technology. The festival will include presentations on different aspects and applications and provide information on new technologies and developments in the industry.

This year’s themes include: Frequency planning and digital rollout; digital radio technology and implementation; DVB-T2 technology and advanced applications; hybrid, OTT and IPTV; archiving and MAM systems and satellite broadcasting technologies.

Content for the webinar sessions has been taken from the workshops and conference sessions of the Digital Broadcast Symposium and other events held in 2013. Each webinar session will be around 90 minutes, starting with a presentation by an expert followed by a question and answer session.

Staff from the ABU Technology Department will be available to answer online questions. More information on the webinars, including registration and schedule details can be found here.
