English Club TV looks to Asia

Following its launch on MEASAT 3A late last year, education channel English Club TV has now extended its reach in South Korea through a partnership with AVA Entertainment.

Commenting on the agreement, Andrew Semchenko, CEO of English Club TV, said: “We are happy to finalise our partnerships with so reputable company as AVA Entertainment. We feel a big interest to English Club TV channel and its content and hope for extension of English Club TV family in South Korea as well.

Justin Kim, AVA Entertainment’s CEO, added: “We are happy to work with English Club TV as our new business partner. Based on our distribution experiences in new media such as IPTV, VOD, apps etc., we believe there are many things we develop the English educational market in Korea.

“We believe their content is suitable for Korean family from kids to adults. We will step by step extend the English language market in Korea. We will start building Korean Web and providing the service to B2B (Schools, Centers, Companies, IPTV VOD operators) and B2C. We expect there are many opportunities in the field of English language learning in Korean market.”
