Hong Kong’s ATV Classic extends its reach to Australia

ATV announced a licensing agreement with Rainbow TV Australia to offer its Classic Channel to be shown in the territories from June 22 onwards.

The sole 24-hour Cantonese Channel originating from Hong Kong caters to the Australia’s 800,000 Chinese audiences, bringing to them dramas, variety shows and infotainment.

Rainbow TV Australia was founded in October 2010. Being the first Mandarin broadcasting corporation in Sydney, it is committed to establishing a cultural exchange platform for the international community.

ATV executives were delighted to extend their footprint and promote the channel’s offerings in Australia: “Rainbow TV Australia is a valuable partner for ATV to extend our footprint in the Asia Pacific region. It is our same vision to promote Chinese culture and build the friendship between the Chinese and Australian people.”
