CCTV buys factual package from ZDF

China’s CCTV has purchased 18 hours of factual programming from Germany’s ZDF Enterprises, in the genres of wildlife and nature, history as well as biography.

Alexander Coridass, ZDF Enterprises’ president and CEO, said: “We at ZDF Enterprises have been maintaining contacts with CCTV for more than two decades, and we really appreciate this long term and reliable partnership.”

Zhou Yan, the deputy managing director of CCTV Documentary, added: “We’ve been actively seeking cooperation with ZDF since the establishment of the channel. We’re very pleased to have reached this major sale with the commercial arm of one of the most renowned TV broadcasters in Europe, and we’re confident this will be the start of a long and rewarding partnership.”
