Euronews Knowledge takes off

The YouTube channel Euronews Knowledge, which was launched at MIPTV in April, already has more than 115,000 subscribers.

Broadband TV News reports it is also attracting an average of 2,000 new subscribers each day, making it one of the fastest growing channels in Europe, and should reach 200,000 subscribers within six weeks.

Of all YouTube premium channels launched by YouTube since late 2012, Euronews Knowledge now ranks second in Germany, fourth in France, ninth in the UK and is the 14th most successful in Europe as a whole.

The channel is fully dedicated to science and knowledge and is a first-of-a-kind operation, produced in partnership with the European Space Agency, in live and VOD formats.
