ABU’s TV Song Festival 2013 to showcase 15 member countries

The ABU says this year’s international TV Song Festival will secure the show’s position in the international events calendar worldwide.

Acts from 15 of the Asia-Pacific’s broadcasters have been selected to perform at the second ABU TV Song Festival on 26 October 2013 in conjunction with the 50th ABU General Assembly in Hanoi, Vietnam. 

They are: VTV-Vietnam, KBS-Korea, NHK-Japan, MEDIACORP of Singapore, TVB-Hong Kong, IRIB-Iran, NBT-Thailand, TVRI-Indonesia, RTB-Brunei, NTS-Kyrgyzstan, MTV-Sri Lanka, RTM-Malaysia, RTA-Afghanistan, RTPRC/CCTV-China and SBS-Australia.

The festival will brings together the best of the Asia-Pacific’s top solo or group talents from an array of national music scenes, and this year’s festival will cement the event in the public mind worldwide.

The ABU TV Song Festival will have a running time of two hours and is a non-competitive celebration of popular music featuring high-profile musical talents.

The inaugural ABU TV Song Festival was held in Seoul, Korea, last year.
