Japan Prize conference events registration opens soon

NHK-organised international contest for educational media – Japan Prize – will start registration for this year’s conference events on 6 August.

The registration website will remain active until 10 October. Japan Prize events – including the International Producers Conference for Educational Media (IPCEM) – will be held in Tokyo from 17-24 October 2013.

“The IPCEM is a chance for experts in educational media to gather from around the world to share and exchange their experiences through discussing cutting-edge developments and their future,” the organisers say.

This year, the main concept of the IPCEM sessions will be “Education for All” and organisers hope participants will be able to discuss what educational media around the world should be.

Ignacio Ferreras, director of the animated film “Wrinkles” that won the Grand Prix Japan Prize in 2012, will be a guest speaker at the ICPEM. 

Entries for the Japan Prize competition itself closed on 30 June 2013.
