Samsung launches three UHD TVs in Singapore

Samsung has finally announced the Singapore launch of its 85-inch ultra-high definition (UHD) TV, originally unveiled at CES in January. For those with limited space at home, the company has also lined up a smaller series, which features identical resolution, but come in 55 and 65-inch screen sizes.

CNet Asia reports other notable features include active shuttle 3D technology and smart TV functions powered by a quad-core processor. The latest Smart Interactive function has been enhanced to support more voice commands and two-handed gestures. For example, you can now enlarge or rotate an onscreen photo simply by using your hands.

According to Samsung, these panels can be upgraded to support future 4K standards with an optional Smart Evolution kit. Meanwhile, current native 4K content, such as videos and photos, can be display through the onboard HDMI and USB inputs. Existing TV broadcasts, DVDs and Blu-ray movies are also internally upscaled to UHD resolution.

All three models are now available in Singapore.
