NZTV launches new season of New Zealand’s Got Talent

NZTV is bringing another season of its immensely popular New Zealand’s Got Talent to TV ONE starting next month.

The first season of the reality show format was one of the highest rating programmes in New Zealand in the past decade. In 2012, NZGT reached 869,300 viewers on average per episode, and every episode for 13 consecutive weeks topped the ratings.

Local celebrities Rachel Hunter and Jason Kerrison return to the judging table, joined by US dancer and choreographer Cris Judd, and Tamati Coffey.

TVNZ’s head of television, Jeff Latch, said: “The strength of NZGT rests with the diversity of talent, and the resulting breadth of its appeal to New Zealand viewers. This year’s talent is extraordinary and we can’t wait to get the show on air in September.”
