PBI announces its annual conference details

Organisers of the Public Broadcasters International conference taking place in Washington this year have opened registration and are advising would-be delegates to prepare early for travelling to the United States.

PBI and hosts US Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) say registration for the November conference is now open and they urge would-be delegates to visit their website for more information on issues such as travelling to the US, letters of invitation, the Visa Waiving Program and the US Government’s Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

They say they are now confirming speakers for various sessions and would welcome feedback about the draft Agenda at http://www.publicbroadcastersinternational.org.

Special hotel rates expire on 11 October and more information can be obtained from PBI2013@pbs.org.

PBI is an annual opportunity for senior executives from public service media groups and union representatives (ABU, EBU, CBA, SABA) to meet during the three-day conference for high-level and wide-ranging debate and the development of a network of public service broadcasting leaders across the world.
