DW presents Beethovenfest 2013 to its international partners

Germany’s international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) is offering audiences worldwide television, radio, and online content in up to 30 languages for the Beethovenfest Bonn in 2013.

The Bonn music festival is taking place from September 5 to October 5, 2013 and DW also plans to deliver concert recordings and radio shows to partner stations for rebroadcasting in the US, Russia, Turkey and in countries in South America.

A particular highlight of the festival is the Orchestra Campus “Beethoven ile buluşma – Encounter with Beethoven”, which brings a youth orchestra from abroad to Bonn for workshops and performances.

Turkey is the partner country for the current, three-year edition of the Orchestra Campus, and this year the partner is the Istanbul University State Conservatory Orchestra with around 70 musicians under Artistic Director Ramiz Malik Aslanov.

DW’s Turkish Department,on its website, www.dw.de/turkish, will also present a German-Turkish multimedia project on Beethovenfest.
