The OC to get a Turkish makeover

In the first local adaptation of the hit series, a Turkish version The O.C. has been commissioned by Star TV.

World Screen reports that Ay Yapim will produce the 13-episode Turkish series. The O.C. originally ran on FOX in the U.S. for four seasons starting in 2003; almost 100 episodes were produced.

“We are really pleased to be working with Ay Yapim and Star TV on the Turkish version of The O.C.,” said Andrew Zein, the senior VP of creative, format development and sales at Warner Bros. International Television Production.

“Today, the standards are so high in drama, so we are delighted with what they’ve done with such an iconic format— it looks glossy and perfectly replicates the original series, with a Turkish twist.”
