Hanoi filling up fast for ABU General Assembly in October

People wanting to attend this year’s ABU General Assembly and conference in Vietnam are being urged to register quickly.

ABU Secretary-General Dr Javad Mottaghi says October is a busy time for international events in Hanoi, so registration now for the Union’s GA is essential. 

“Our host VTV, has kindly agreed to extend the deadline for registration to 30 September 2013,” he said. “This is the deadline for hotel bookings as well as visa applications.”

The ABU TV Song Festival would be held in the evening of 26 October at the Opera House of Hanoi, and Vietnam TV had also arranged a full-day excursion to an ecotourism resort at Trang on Sunday 27 October, to which all ABU members and their companions were invited.

To-date, more than 350 participants have registered for the ABU General Assembly and Associated Meetings in Hanoi from 23-29 October 2013.

“[But] Hanoi is the host to many international meetings during the same period in October and hence the hotels are booking fast,” Dr Mottaghi told would-be participants. “I kindly advise you to register and book the hotels soon in order to be able to take advantage of the current price as the increasing demand for hotels will result in higher prices post the deadline.”
