Entries open for 6th TRT Documentary Awards
Turkish national broadcaster TRT is inviting entries to its 6th Documentary Awards to support amateur and professional documentary film-makers.
Organisers say the awards “contribute to and boost the development and prevalence of the documentary film genre, to enable audiences to view different and high quality documentary films from various countries and in the long term to form the groundwork where worldwide documentary film makers will meet and exchange their ideas”.
The TRT Documentary Awards is open to all documentary film-makers who fulfil the eligibility criteria. Participation is free and entries can be submitted for pre-selection until 31 January 2014.
After the pre-selections, screenings and evaluation by the Selection Committees will take place between 8-11 May 2014 in İstanbul and the awards will be announced on 12 May 2014 in a special Gala program broadcast on TRT TV with members of the Selection Committees, the directors of the winning documentaries, press and guests.
