Voting opens for NHK World TV’s “Viewers’ Choice the Best of 2013”

Back by popular demand, NHK WORLD TV special request series “Viewers’ Choice” has opened its voting website for viewers to nominate the programs they most loved in 2013.

Top-ranking programs will be broadcast back-to-back for seven days from Dec. 23-29.

A total of 60 programs have been nominated from those broadcast on NHK WORLD TV in 2013. The programs were popular with viewers, and/or have come recommended by their makers.

Voting from Japan and abroad is open until December 11 with results to be announced via a dedicated website.

Last year with close to 10,000 votes cast from around the world including the Unites States, Indonesia and Brazil. Music program “J-MELO” as well as “Begin Japanology” featuring Japanese culture were chosen as the two top-ranking programs.
