‘Dancing with the Stars’ goes to Cambodia

Cambodian Broadcasting Service has licensed global hit entertainment TV format Dancing with the Stars from BBC Worldwide.

The series is scheduled to premiere in mid-2014 through the platform of ‘CTN’, Cambodia’s most watched terrestrial channel.

Currently, the show has official licensing in more than 49 countries with 220 series up till now. Local version of Dancing with the Stars has been broadcasted in diverse countries like Lebanon, India and Russia. The latest season of Hindi version in India, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa has achieved record breaking figures in 2012.

Eyeing on growing its business in Asia, the company is considering the Cambodian market as an important catalyst.
