Nat Geo plans 2-hour live TV event from space

National Geographic Channel (NGC) Worldwide is planning a groundbreaking two-hour special, Live from Space, which will be broadcast from the International Space Station and Mission Control in Houston.

Set for this March, the global event will feature unique access to and footage from the ISS and Mission Control. The special will go into orbit with astronauts Rick Mastracchio and Koichi Wakata from the ISS. Astronaut Mike Massimino will be commanding live from ground control in Houston. Arrow Media is behind the project.

Live from Space will air on NGC in 170 countries.
