Russia’s RTR to launch more HD Channels

ABU member Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company VGTRK (RTR) has announced plans to launch three more digital channels this year.

The company’s deputy CEO Dmitry Medvikov said channels Modern Detective as well as IQ HD would be launched this year and the tentatively titles Living Planet, will make its debut late this year or in early 2015.

RTR currently produces 10 channels under the ‘Digital Television’ brand, including Moya Planeta (My Planet), Sport, Sport-1, Sarafan and Rossiya HD.
