ABC Australia celebrates the Year of the Horse

Australia’s public broadcaster ABC is wishing all its radio listeners a Happy Lunar New Year via its pop-up digital service.

The broadcaster says Lunar New Year is an important celebration for millions of people all around the world, including many Australians with an Asian heritage.

This year, ABC’s pop-up digital radio service ABC Extra will celebrate the Lunar New Year with a focus on the real life stories of Asian Australians.

All over Australia ABC reporters have been talking to people with an Asian heritage, asking them what the lunar New Year means to them, and about their lives more generally.

“Lunar New Year” on ABC Extra runs until midnight on Friday 31January.
