Cao Yin appointed to head China Movie Channels

One of the Asia-Pacific’s well-known broadcast executives, Mr Cao Yin, has been appointed CEO and Managing Director of China Movie Channels.

He has been Deputy Director General the department since 2001, as well as being a councillor representing RTPRC on the ABU Administrative Council and Chairman of the Strategic Plan Team of Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD).

Mr Cao Yin graduated from Beijing Broadcasting Institute in1990 and has worked in the International Cooperation Department of China’s State Administration of Radio Film and Television, responsible for cultural exchanges and cooperation in film and broadcast.

He was a visiting fellow for Media Management at Stirling University, Scotland, in the mid-1990s.

The 24-hour China Movie Channel is described as a key member of the Great Wall platform, broadcasting newly released films, entertainment industry news and shows with insights into modern China’s society, culture and arts. It airs 15 Chinese films per day in Latin America, Europe, Oceania, Africa and Asia.
