Spain’s football association launches La Liga TV

Spain’s professional football league association Liga de Fútbol Professional (LFP) has launched La Liga TV, which will stream free-to-air the live matches of the Spanish second division owned by Atresmedia’s laSexta.

Rapid TV News reports that the initiative is aimed at extending football coverage and increasing brand impact for the clubs on Spain’s largest networks. The new online channel will initially broadcast seven live matches a week without geographical restrictions.

Thus, all matches from the Spanish second division Liga Adelante will be broadcast live every weekend. Earlier this season, Atresmedia signed a deal with the LFP in order to broadcast two matches a week through laSexta.
