Orange TV launches in West Bengal

A new Bengali satellite TV channel, Orange TV, is now on air across West Bengal following a soft launch by Kolkata-based T Sarkar Productions.

Rapid TV News reports the entertainment channel is already being distributed by SitiCable, KCBPL, GTPL, Manthan, Digicable, AMBC and DEN Networks, and hopes to go national within a year.

The youth-oriented channel is offering a mix of Bengali movies, music and shows about Bollywood and the Bengali film industry.

Broadcasting from its studio at Tollygunge in Kolkata, Orange TV is currently on air daily between 7pm and 10pm.
