CCTV to transmit news and documentaries in Pakistan

China Central Television (CCTV) will be able to broadcast in Pakistan after a memorandum of understanding in the field of broadcasting was agreed with Pakistan Television Corporation.

The MoU was signed on 12 April by vice president of CCTV Zhu Tong and managing director of Pakistan Television Muhammad Malik.

It allows landing rights for CCTV News and CCTV 9 documentary channel in Pakistan, as well as enabling shared content for both dubbed entertainment as well as Chinese language learning, said Malik.

Zhu Tong said that he was excited seeing media and broadcasting cooperation moving from strength to strength and he looked forward to seeing a rapid increase in the mutual exchange of programmes.
