EBU taps Octoshape to stream Eurovision for 9th year in a row

The European Broadcast Union (EBU) has once again selected the cloud-based over the top (OTT) streaming technology firm Octoshape to stream the Eurovision festival to a global audience next week, from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Rapid TV News reports this is the ninth successive year that Eurovision TV has deployed Octoshape technology and in this latest instance the company’s Infinite HD-M will see use delivering broadcast quality video to internet-connected devices for all three days of the event to fans everywhere.

The Infinite HD is platform is designed to offer a differentiated platform that enables the evolution of broadcast TV to global, cloud-based broadband TV.
