EBU launches EUROVISION Sports Live app

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU), has launched an app to bring sports fans live action, replays and highlights of elite world sports from the portfolio of sports federations and rights owners currently in partnerships with the Union.

From May, the EUROVISION Sports Live app will feature live events from the European Union of Gymnastics, FISA and European Athletics. Free to download, its content is available free of charge, although some pay-per-view content may be added in the future.

The app is available on the App Store for iPad, iPhones 4 and 5, and iPod touch, and on the Google Play Store for Android phones and tablets. EUROVISION Sports Live also delivers all the action to televisions using AirPlay and Apple TV.

Live sports events confirmed on the app so far are:

  • European Union of Gymnastics: 30th European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships  (17 May 2014)
  • European Union of Gymnastics: 31st European Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships (24 May 2014)
  • FISA: European Rowing Championships  (May 2014)
  • European Union of Gymnastics: 30th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships (June 2014)
  • FISA: World Rowing Cup II (June 2014)
  • European Athletics: European Athletics Team Championships (June 2014)
  • FISA: World Rowing Cup III (July 2014)
  • European Athletics: European Athletics Championships (August 2014)
  • FISA World Rowing: World Rowing Championships (August 2014)
  • European Athletics: European Cross Country Championships (December 2014)
