RTM Malaysia begins Ramadan tour

Malaysia’s public broadcaster RTM has launched it’s third annual Radio Televisyen Malaysia Ramadan Tour 2014 Program.

Bernama news agency reports that the tour began in Sabah on June 29 and will end in Kuala Lumpur on July 27 after taking in several states.

The program features spiritual-oriented activities throughout the Muslim month of Ramadan.

At the launch of the program, RTM’s Director-General Dato’ Norhyati Ismail said “The charity tour programmes involve activities such as the giving of aid and contributions to the poor, gotong-royong, visiting the aged, religious guidance classes, Quran reading, breaking of the fast, and special prayers.”

RTM operates 36 radio stations across the country.
