55th ABU Sports Group Conference and Associated meetings

Macau, China 22-23 October 2014

We are honored to invite you to our 55th ABU Sports Group Meetings which will be held in Macau, China from 22 to 23 October 2014 hosted by TDM (Teledifusão de Macau), the public broadcaster of Macau.

The year of 2014 is very meaningful moment for all members to review our development since 1964. ABU is still developing to reach out more than 260 members in over 60 nations. At the same time Sports group members are in crucial situation. Through our Asian markets the needs of enjoying sports tremendously increases. ABU Sports must prepare for the future under the rapid changes of media landscape, in order to better serve more various the international sports events to our audience in each country.

The theme of this meetings is “Unified Asia; Building an asset for the future.”

We will exchange our insights with each other in order to build an asset for the future. We will broaden our scope into world sports markets at the Professional discussion on 28th.  

The ABU Broadcast Rights Committee and the Sports Finance Committee Meeting will meet on 21st.

Macau, as a host city, will give you a chance to savor the unique culture experience which is historically mixed with Asia and Europe. Our host TDM has chosen one of the most luxurious   places, Conrad Hotel as the ABU Sports Group meeting venue.
