KBS and CCTV to co-produce historical documentary

Korea’s public service broadcaster KBS and China’s CCTV signed a Memorandum of Understanding to co-produce a documentary about the Japanese invasion of Korea in the 16th century.

KBS and CCTV have maintained a close partnership, working together on such co-production projects as the Korea-China Friendship Concert as well as taking part in the biennial broadcasting meeting.

This documentary co-production agreement focuses on an event of historical importance and is expected to strengthen cooperative ties.

KBS Executive Vice President Ryu Hyun-soon and CCTV Vice President Sun Yusheng attended the signing ceremony.
