Samsung launches mobile video app for India

Samsung has launched a new digital entertainment app for India to provide live TV, films music and other video content for mobile devices.

Rapid TV News reports that Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati content will all be available at Club Samsung 2.0 from 30 September – which is currently supported by 14 Samsung devices, but set to increase to 33 in coming months. More than 90 TV channels and hundreds of movies and videos will also be available through the app, according to Samsung.

“With this launch, we reaffirm our leadership in customer-centric innovation, which is at the core of all the product development that we undertake. As an industry leader, Samsung is addressing the need to provide high quality digital content by working closely with content providers and ecosystem developers,” said B D Park, President, south west Asia, Samsung.

Club Samsung 2.0 is the updated version of Samsung’s content store Club Samsung, which was unveiled alongside Galaxy Grand 2 in India last year to provide video for connected mobile devices.
