Malaysia’s Media Prima signs Japanese co-production deal

Malaysian media group, Media Prima’s divisions – Metropolitan TV (8TV), Primeworks Studios and ntv7 – and Japanese firms Nippon Television, Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) and Sumitomo Corporation – have entered into an agreement to co-produce Welcome to the Railworld Japan and Find the Wasabi! television series.

As part of the deal, Welcome To The Railworld Japan is currently being produced by Primeworks Studios, Nippon Television and Sumitomo Corporation. The television series is the Japanese version of the Malaysian TV series, Welcome To The Railworld, aired in 2010. This programme will be aired on 8TV. It will be released in mid-October,  NexTVAsia reports.

Primeworks Studios, ntv7 and TBS will commence the production of Find the Wasabi! In November. Production of a series of variety-game show game show is headed by TBS, while Primeworks Studios will provide production support.
