Korea’s KT SkyLife aims to become full HD platform provider

Korean satellite broadcaster KT SkyLife will switch all its channels to the high definition platform by the end of 2014.

In that time, the operator will have added 19 HD channels to its existing 104 HD channel line-up, NexTVAsia reports.

“We will solidify our market dominance as a full HD platform provider,” said Lee Nam-ki, CEO of KT SkyLife. “The changed direction to the ‘all-HD platform’ strategy of our company is a fresh start to be the nation’s best multimedia company,” he added.

KT SkyLife says it aims to be a leading HD TV platform operator and to achieve this, it will focus on providing convenient user interface as well as high-quality content.
