Malaysia’s Astro adds 10 channels, launches VoD service

Astro Malaysian Holdings has added ten channels to its line-up from November 16 and introduced Astro Plus, a video-on-demand service offering Hollywood movies and television programmes.

The new line up includes eight HD channels – Fox Family Movies HD, Fox Action Movies HD, Hits HD, FYI HD, Astro AEC HD, Astro Shuang Xing HD, DIVA Universal HD and FOX HD. The two new SD channels are ZooMoo and Celestial Classic Movies.

Astro says the channels will be offered for free until February 2015. 

The broadcasters also says it is committed to bringing the best and the latest international and local content, shorter windows, the first digital broadcast, as well as innovative services such as HD, 3D, PVR, VOD and Astro on the Go.
