Globecast Australia to provide satellite services for G20

G20 host broadcaster Global Television, working directly to the G20 Taskforce, has appointed Globecast Australia as the satellite services provider for the G20 in Brisbane.

C+T reports that Globecast Australia will provide a range of services including five satellite uplink units in various locations, as well as international fibre and satellite connectivity across the northern and southern hemisphere.

The G20 summit, held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on 15 and 16 November 2014, will also contain an International Media Centre (IMC) for accredited media.

As Host Broadcaster, Global Television is providing live multi-camera coverage of key elements of the G20 summit including arrivals, speeches and news conferences. Such events and pool footage will be available live at IMC and also live at Globecast Australia’s Sydney broadcast centre for onward rate card distribution according to bookings made directly with the host broadcaster.
